I recently came across an old times article where the people over at Hastens and Magniflex used this fact as a selling tool. Just goes to show the importance of a breathable sleep surface.

Very few companies offer a truly cool sleep because it requires natural materials and fabrics….the expensive stuff. You tend not to find these natural materials in mattress made by big brands such as Sealy, Serta, King Koil, Stearns and Foster. They’re making absurd margins with cheaper materials, why would they change?

Going with a specialty mattress brand is by far your best bet to getting the zzzzzz’s .

For the price these older models are excellent. Anyone close buying a name brand memory foam mattress should flip over these.

The Better Sleep Council’s (BSC) revealing new study links a new mattress to improved sleep comfort and intimacy.

So all you men out there, here’s more reason for you to buy a new mattress. To all the women, watch out!

Here’s what they concluded:
When asked how a new mattress can improve their relationship with a significant other, Americans reported benefits including:

• feeling more rested and cordial to each other during the day (52 percent).
• less tossing and turning by their significant other - leading to less disturbances and annoyances during the night (40 percent).
• encouragement to spend more time in bed with partner (27 percent).
• improvement in their sex life (26 percent).

So there you have it….time to buy a new mattress

This morning on Canada AM there was a report on products made in China. They were referring to the fact that the governed quality standards are so low that you’re only protection is to buy made in Canada.

A guest speaker mentioned that that may not be a guarantee since according to Canadian laws, if a package (made in Canada) plus the cost of packaging in Canada represents more than the cost of the product inside (which may be from China) the seller of the product can label this made in Canada.

That is similar to what happens in the mattress industry. The big brands use components from China, assemble them here and call it made in Canada. I recently heard that Tempurpedic’s most expensive mattress has its cover manufactured in China.
