Pellet Stoves Can Save You Money Right Now

November 9th, 2008 · Leave a Comment

We are looking at going into an expensive season for residential heating.  While many people are looking at outward solutions to improve energy and heating and cooling efficiency, such as windows or insulation, maybe its time to consider the source of the heat.

Your heating needs could be served cheaply or supplemented with a pellet stove. A pellet stove looks like a traditional woodstove, except that it uses specially manufactured pellets that are made from material that would otherwise end up in landfills. The cost of the pellet stove - $1000 to $2000 for a good model - could end up repaying itself in a few years on your heating bill. The installation of a pellet stove as a supplementary heat source saved this New Brunswick family $1200 a year in heating costs.

This listing is a great resource for manufacturers of pellet stoves throughout the United States and Canada.
