A recent study from Nielsen Online calls greenwashing a “failed strategy”
In my case it’s a permanent boycott.
OK …. i’m a little extreme but when a company positions themselves with misleading or greenwash marketing …. you’re on my do-not-support-list.
Well SC Johnson…a family company..lol….welcome to the list.
Their “green list” is a load of crock and i really hope everyone thinks twice about buying their products which include Edge, Off, Raid, Galde, Drano, Pledge, Shout, Fantastik, Scrubbing Bubbles, Windex, Ziploc. Did i miss any? SC Johnson’s “green list” is something they created and it doesn’t set the bar very high at all.
The handful of cleaning and detergent product manufacturers should all get together, raise their prices by 20% and clear up their ingredients. It would be for the greater good so why not? They have so much power yet use it so poorly.
Anyways, if you’re looking for a mass market easily accessible cleaning product check out Green Works by Clorox. They’ve come the closest. If you don’t mind smaller companies check out Seventh Generation or Method.
cheers.
